  • Kettle or pan to use on stove top to heat & boil with.
  • Water & tea blend, + any additions you desire to steep.
  • Tea strainer to separate & drain tea grounds from liquid.
  • Glass quart jar with lid for steeping your blend overnight.
  • Glass quart jar to store any excess tea, in refrigerator for the day.
  • Tea mug if desired, rather than consuming directly from a brewing jar.
  • Spoon to add, and stir in organic honey, or maple syrup.
  • Glass jar brewing -strainer combination is convenient.

You can see step by step as an example to brew tea. It’s easy to use and convenient to travel with. Also, some models offer a carrying pouch, or thermal sleeve with a draw string closure. Tea strainer systems come in different sizes, and colors. This can be helpful if you need to brew easy, and your on the go!

Start by placing an inch of blended herbs in a quart jar. Pour your hot water, approximately 212 degrees, overtop the herbs until the jar is full. This means that there’s no need to measure the temperature; you can just wait until the water starts to boil.

Storing your tea over-night

To store or to long brew, replace the cap covering the jar to sit, steeping this overnight. In the morning you can strain off the liquid from the herbals. In addition, it is convenient to keep extra tea in the jar until consumed. Finally, if you desire your tea can be served cold or heated on the stove top.

This recipe can be double, blending them well together, and stored in an airtight container. This way you can scoop off what you need each time for brewing. It’s always two parts red raspberry, and nettle to keep consistency. Also, red raspberry has a sweet aroma and taste.

Fun additions for your tea blend:

  • Include dried rose hips to your blend, to increase vitamin C intake in your diet.
  • Place peppermint leaves for nausea, or lemon balm to your tea blend for stress.
  • Try adding fresh peeled -sliced ginger, or sliced citrus of lemon or orange.
  • Serve over ice, or use tea as your liquid when making an organic juice beverage from frozen concentrate.
  • After brewing add honey or maple syrup, while the tea still has heat, to ensure it dissolves properly.
